1. High cost of components
Diesel forklifts use the basic structure of engines and gearboxes; the engines of domestic diesel forklifts are basically domestic 490 or 485, and the diesel is Zhejiang Xinchai or Quanchai. The price is not high, and parts such as gearboxes are also available. It is a supporting product for domestic manufacturers.
Internal combustion forklift parts are all domestically produced, with low production costs and low prices. The combination of engine and gearbox costs more than 10,000 yuan;
Electric forklifts use the basic structure of motor, gearbox, battery, and traction controller; electric forklifts have high technical requirements, which cannot be met by domestic technology, and many components need to be imported. The traction controllers of battery forklifts are basically imported, and the price is tens of thousands.
In addition, the battery forklift has a dual-motor structure (drive motor and hydraulic motor), and the motor and battery are expensive, so the price of electric forklifts is relatively high compared with internal combustion ones.
2. High production cost
Everyone should know that the greater the output of a product, the more purchasing costs can be reduced for a single component. At present, in the domestic forklift market, the annual sales volume of diesel forklifts is about 250,000, while the total sales volume of battery forklifts is only about 35,000; the output of diesel forklifts is more than 7 times that of battery forklifts, and the large quantity offers discounts.
The factory's usual daily expenses, personnel costs, equipment loss, etc. also need to be further included in the final ex-factory price of the product, resulting in a further increase in the price of the battery forklift.
3. After-sale maintenance cost
If the warranty cost of a diesel forklift in the first year is 2,000, then the minimum warranty cost of a battery forklift is 4,000, and maybe no one is willing to do it lower. Because it is hundreds or even thousands of parts to be burned casually. Therefore, the after-sales maintenance cost is also quite high.
