Steps to deal with a diesel forklift refueled with gasoline:
1. Stop immediately: If it has been started, stop the engine immediately to prevent further damage.
2. Clean the fuel tank: Drain all the mixed fuel in the tank and clean the tank with diesel.
3. Replace the filter: Replace the oil filter and oil-water separator to remove gasoline from the mixed fuel.
4. Clean the system: Thoroughly clean the fuel system, including key components such as fuel lines, fuel pumps and injectors.
5. Check the engine: If the engine is already started and running, the technician will conduct a detailed inspection of the engine to assess whether there is any internal damage.
6. Refuel: After cleaning and inspection, refill with the correct diesel.
7. Test run: After completing all necessary maintenance processes at the maintenance station, perform a test run to ensure that the vehicle is back to normal.
Consequences of adding gasoline to a diesel forklift
1. Poor fuel atomization effect: causes abnormal shaking of the vehicle, black smoke released from the exhaust pipe, and other problems.
2. Engine damage: may cause damage to components such as the oil pump and fuel injector, which need to be replaced.
3. Abnormal engine idling: After adding a small amount of gasoline, the diesel vehicle can still start, but after a long period of driving, the engine idling may be abnormal, causing greater vibration.
