What precautions should be taken when using a lithium-ion forklift?

Electric forklifts have very high requirements for batteries. Improper use will shorten the battery life, so the correct use and maintenance of batteries is crucial. The precautions for use are as follows:
1. Charging:

Charging is a very important part of daily battery maintenance. Untimely and inadequate charging will seriously shorten the battery life.
(1) Since the electrolyte temperature will rise by about 10°C during the charging process, before charging, it is necessary to ensure that the battery electrolyte temperature is lower than 45°C, otherwise it needs to be properly cooled before charging;
(2) After the forklift is used, it must be recharged in time. If the battery is not deeply discharged, the charging time of an 80% discharged battery should be guaranteed to be 8-10 hours. The battery must be fully charged before use, otherwise the battery plate will be damaged and the battery life will be shortened.
(3) If the charger is manually set, it needs to be set according to the battery capacity and the actual condition of the battery to prevent overcharging;
(4) The forklift cover needs to be opened during charging to facilitate heat dissipation and exhaust during battery charging;
(5) There should be a certain distance between the batteries in the charging area, and good ventilation conditions should be provided to prevent various forms of fire sources from appearing in the charging environment or around during use. The copper wires in the cables and connecting strips should not be exposed. The plug must be connected in place during charging, and do not unplug the plug near the battery outlet, otherwise it will cause hydrogen explosion due to open flames or static sparks;
(6) The battery should be left for 1 hour after charging before being put into use;
(7) The battery needs to be balanced charged and maintained every half a month to a month. Batteries that are not used for a long time should be recharged once a month.
2. Maintenance:
(1) After the battery has been used for a period of time, it needs to be replenished with water in time. The water level should be within the specified range, and the battery should be charged first and then replenished (but the electrolyte level must always be kept below the plate).
(2) When replenishing water, distilled water or deionized water should be added, and no other substances should be added to prevent the battery from self-discharging.
(3) Common tools for replenishing water for batteries include: measuring cups, simple water buckets, water trucks, etc. When replenishing water for batteries, metal utensils should never be used, and plastic containers are generally used.
(4) The frequency of water replenishment is generally related to the frequency of battery use and charging, as well as the temperature.
(5) If the battery is over-hydrated, gas will be generated during charging, causing the electrolyte to overflow from the monomer, resulting in leakage on the battery surface, corrosion of components such as the connecting strip, and reduced battery capacity. Therefore, the battery should be cleaned and scrubbed regularly to avoid losses.
(6) If the battery is often short of water, the liquid level will drop, causing the lead bridge and the plate to be exposed to the liquid surface, thereby being oxidized, causing the plate to deteriorate; and only the lower half of the plate will react with the electrolyte, resulting in a decrease in capacity; as the liquid level drops, the battery will also have a high temperature rise during charging and use, greatly shortening the battery life.
3. Cleaning:
(1) The battery surface should be kept as clean and dry as possible to prevent residual electrolyte on the battery surface from causing leakage.
(2) Batteries without leakage holes on the bottom should be scrubbed with a wet rag, and dry rags, feather dusters, etc. should not be used. Otherwise, static electricity is easily generated, causing serious consequences such as battery explosion.
