Fork lift is an equipment you are lifting the load with a fork.
1. the load will be cantilever load. You have take care that the center of gravity is well within the end of fork. If otherwise load may fall down resulting loss of item and injury to persons.
2. If you are lifting the load high and trying it stack at a higher level, when you tilt the carrier towards farther direction, it may happen that the CG of whole Fork lift truck may go out and there is possibility of fork lift truck falling in forward direction.
3. Steering: In case of fork lift truck when you are turning, front wheels will be almost stagnant, while rear wheels will move. You will have to take care ：
(i) clear way for fork
(ii) the rear end of the truck will not hit on sides.
That is, if you are taking sharp turns you should simultaneously watch front as well as back.
4. Most important. The load is lifted by hydraulic cylinder. There is possibility of leakage due to failure of hose. Hence you should lift only rated load or below. No one should be below the fork when it is in lifted position.
5. There are many minute factors. Presence of mind is very important.
