Knowledge about counterbalanced forklifts

A counterbalanced forklift is a forklift with a counterweight (a large piece of cast iron or steel) installed at the rear. When the forklift is forking goods, the balance is achieved through this counterweight. Forklifts that are not counterbalanced must have two forward-extending casters under their cargo forks, otherwise they will overturn. Here are some counterbalanced forklifts for everyone.

1. Counterbalanced diesel forklift: It is large in size, but has good stability, is suitable for heavy loads, has no restrictions on the use time, and is generally used outdoors. Compared with gasoline engines, diesel engines have better power (not easy to stall at low speed, strong overload capacity, and long-term operation ability), low fuel costs, but have large vibration, high noise, large exhaust volume, heavy weight, and high price. The load can range from 0.5 tons to 45 tons.

2. Counterbalanced gasoline forklift: It is large in size, but has good stability, is suitable for heavy loads, has no restrictions on the use time, and is generally used outdoors. Gasoline engines have a small appearance, light weight, and high output power. The working noise and vibration are small and the price is low, but the gasoline engine has poor overload capacity and long-term operation capacity, and the fuel cost is quite high. The load capacity can range from 0.5 tons to 4.5 tons.

3. Counterbalanced liquefied petroleum gas forklift (LPG for short): It is a counterbalanced gasoline forklift equipped with a liquefied petroleum gas conversion device, that is, an LPG forklift, which can switch between gasoline and liquefied gas through a conversion switch. The advantages of LPG forklifts are good exhaust emissions, significantly lower carbon monoxide (CO) emissions than gasoline engines, and lower fuel costs (15KG of liquefied gas is equivalent to 20 liters of gasoline). It is suitable for indoor operations with high environmental requirements.
